No IP address for some devices on log

I configured several Android smartphones (different brands and models) by entering the string on Private DNS. Everything works perfectly but, for some of these devices, the mac address is displayed in the logs and not the ip address. Why do some show the Mac address and not the IP address? They are all configured in the same way and, for example, Samsung and Xiaomi smartphones show the ip address, while Motorola and Vivo smartphones show the Mac address. Sometimes even the latter show the IP address, but I don't understand the reason for this malfunction.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Maybe it is the IPv6 and not the MAC address.

Because I have this format instead of the classic IPv4 format.

    Yes, it is IPv6.

The MAC address have this format:

    1a:2b:3c:4d:5e:6f

6 pairs of numbers and letters.

IPv6 has 8 groups of 4 (when expanded, as it can be compress) as you can see.

Take a look at browserleaks.com to check your IP.

In your device settings you can find both your MAC and IP (About phone - Status).
