NextDNS does not connect to nearby servers
Hello,
I'm using NextDNS from India, NextDNS should connect to the nearest server, but it is somehow connecting to Dubai server, which is slowing down my internet speeds. I don't have any VPN enabled either. There are around 6 servers in India where i get <10ms, and it is still connecting to Dubai server where i get >90ms. The problem is on my windows only, my mobile device is able to connect to Indian server perfectly. I tried formatting my windows, if in-case there was any setting causing NextDNS to connect to Dubai, but it didn't work. I don't know if this is a bug or it can be fixed by myself.

How did you configure your windows?

Same here. Always connecting to the slowest server. Based on ping by NextDNS the faster server is in zepto-hkg/anexia-hkg. But it always connects me to Taipei servers. Is there a workaround where we can always connect to the fastest server? By the way, my configuration is direct to my router and I'm using DDNS to bind Next DNS.

I had the same issue. I'm from India and it was connecting to Dubai. Turns out, it only happens when I use the NextDNS app on Windows 11. I used YogaDNS and it indeed connected me to the closest server. Just to test, I closed YogaDNS and set up DoH in Chrome, still connected to the nearest location. Seems like the issue is with the NextDNS Windows app.
