How to block permanently youtube and prime video ads?

    Not with DNS, and with your platform, not much you can do unless you can sideload alternative client.

       On iOS you can use an app called "Video Lite" to bypass the ads with YouTube but nothing can be done with Prime Video ads.

    NextDNS cannot reliably block YouTube/Amazon video ads at the network level due to how YouTube/Amazon serves its content and advertisements, which are from the same domains and servers they use for video streaming, making it effectively impossible to distinguish between ads and legitimate video content using domain-based DNS filtering alone.

     

    You will likely need one or more of the following: 

    • a different browser which may support these types of features (eg: Brave)
    • specific browser extensions
    • dedicated mobile apps for mobile devices
    • VPN services with ad-blocking features or VPN Services that will route you through non-monetized country's
    • etc.
