I can’t find a way, under Parental Controls, to block Messenger Kids app on an iPad

I actually just found a way through Facebook, but stupidly it has Friday and Saturday set as the two weekend days (I guess because neither of them are ‘school nights’), and Sunday one of the weekdays. And you can only set for weekend days as a block, or weekdays as a block.
