Website blocked on iOS with NextDNS active, but no blocked sites in log

Today I noticed on the iPhone 6 (iOS 12, using NextDNS via "VPN") of my sister that a government site does not load with NextDNS enabled, but there's not a single site blocked in the logs of her settings. On my iPhone X (iOS 14, using native DOH) it works just fine.

Any tips on how to investigate this?

Did you tried a different browser? Might be from add-ons or some settings.

losnad No, the login makes use of URL schemes (I think), so it’s always Mobile Safari.

You said “in the logs of her settings”.  Are you using the same configuration ID?   If not  consider trying the configuration ID on her device that you’re using (or vice versa) in order to determine if the difference is due to the device settings vs the configuration on the server.

Calvin Hobbes Good suggestion! I can already try her settings on my iPhone and the other way around when I see her again.

      We did meet yesterday:

      • With her settings on my iPhone it worked fine
      • With my settings on her iPhone it worked fine
      • When I switched back to her settings on her iPhone it suddenly also worked fine...
