Next DNS stops working overnight on my Tizen os device

Hello,

I'm a new user and Im having an issue where Next DNS randomly stops working on my Samsung tv.

The MAC address of the TV is already been setup to use a static IP address from the router settings, and also i have setup my router to use the 2 DNS servers, they should automatically be obtained throughout all my devices. So Next DNS should be working all the time for my TV. However, i also don't see from the logs that my TV is working from my Router, it is just showing 151.251.116.177 rather them my router's name.

I tried to reboot already several times the TV, but this is not resolving my issues. It will start to work again and it will stop working overtime.

Before i didn't had that issue the DNS was constantly blocking cdn.samsungcloudsolution.com (example Sunday, April 9, 2023 5:46 AM) , where now after checking the logs the last time that service was blocked was 1 hour ago.

Device names will not appear in your logs while you are only using the NextDNS DNS IP addresses. To get device names you will have to use the other protocol options DoT, DoH and DoQ.

R P M Hi, thanks for the reply. And what is preventing my TV from randomly stopping using the DNS server? I have already added the DNS servers to my router, so the TV should obtain them automatically and stay connected all the time. Also, i had added DDNS hostname. However, the TV is using a static IP address on my router, could this be the issue? When i go fo example from the TV web browser to the Next DNS page and click on ''Linked IP'' it will start working for a while.

Nikolay Nikolov Hmm it sounds like your IP keeps changing and it’s a little slow to update. Do you know if your ISP is using CGNAT or not?
