Using DNS Rewrite it works but gives me a certificate error

Hi there, 
I can't figure out how to set a custom "start page" for new tabs in Microsoft Edge.
I figured I could use the superpower NextDNS offer me so I configured a DNS rewrite to solve the problem 
*.ntp.msn.com → www.google.com
This makes perfect since Edge wants the certificate from the domain it connects to.
Is there a way to bypass this?
Either a configuration of Edge or installing "fake" certificates make it work?
I may have ended up in a blind alley and need to figure out a different strategy

    Rewrite is not to be confused with a HTTP redirect. It does only rewrite the DNS response but won’t make the target server accept the hostname. Said otherwise, what you are trying to do is not possible at the DNS level.
