Requests to image.tmdb.org fail (but they are not blocked!)

Lately the iOS App I use to track my progress on watch TV shows is super slow and fails to load images. I noticed that I only experience this problem when I'm using NextDNS as DNS. If I select a different DNS, use a VPN (with its own DNS, or switch to cellular, the App works just fine.

Initially I assumed NextDNS blocking a domain to be the root cause of this problem, but there are no blocked attempts in my log! When I checked with ProxyMan (as MITM) I see that all requests to https://image.tmdb.org return error 999 (and a warning about rate limits in one of the headers?).

What could be happening here?

How can I solve this, without stop using NextDNS?

Turns out it was not NextDNS blocking image.tmdb.org, but the Skynet firewall on my router.

It was blocking IP address 138.199.37.227 because that is in blocklist firehol_level2.netset.
