Error while checking the current status

When I visit my setup page, I see the following at the top:

Error while checking the current status.
Please talk to us if this problem persists after refreshing the page.

I'm not sure if I see any other issues. Logs seem to suggest my router is utilizing NextDNS.

    Something is blocking «https://xxxxxxxxxxx-configid.test.nextdns.io»

Might be an add-on, the browser, a firewall...

Try on another browser or device.

I'm having the same issue with UDMP. I've tested from multiple devices. They all receive the error message. Ads are not being blocked.

Nothing has changed with my UDMP firewall configuration. Is there an endpoint I can test or something else I should try?

I re-ran the installer and it's working again. Seems like something needed a refresh.

After the iOS 18 updates, my iOS/iPadOS devices are not blocking traffic from my blocklists, while my macOS Device is working fine with the same configuration profile.

I get the "All good! This device is using NextDNS with this profile." message for macOS with the green dot. On iOS/iPadOS, I get a gray dot with no text in the box on the setup screen, which eventually turns into a black dot that provides the error message you indicated.

Will there be a fix in place for this issue? Is anyone else experiencing this with their Apple devices?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm encountering the same issue, but not immediately after the iOS18 update, I only noticed the issue for the past couple days. It seems like iPad and iPhone are still "connected" to NextDNS server when running a dns connection test (based on DNS PTR record), but it's also showing a gray dot for me with no logs. Occasionally it will fix itself, but then starts not ad-blocking again. I also wasn't able to utilize test.nextdns.io to see whether it's actually connected. It's just load a blank white page for me.
