IP leak ProtonVPN

Accidentally I clicked "link IP" in NextDNS on my Android so my personal IP was visible even with ProtonVPN on. I copied the profile to a new profile, I reconfigured everything and then deleted the old profile.
Even now with the new profile my personal IP is visible with ProtonVPN on. I deleted all caches that I could find and rebooted the device, but it did not work.
So please tell me how to fix this mess. TIA.

Greetings

Where do you actually see this IP?

It sounds like your VPN is not properly configured if your real IP address is being seen.

If your personal IP is showing, that would be an issue with  your VPN setup and not a NextDNS issue.

If you accidentally gave your real IP to NextDNS it's really not a big deal, assuming you trust NextDNS.  If you do not trust NextDNS, then you should be far more worried about what happens with your DNS requests than being worried they know your IP address and you probably shouldn't use their service.

It's more important to figure out why your personal IP is being shown while your VPN is active than worrying about what NextDNS is doing with that information.

Okay Thx for the hint. As there is not much to configure that I could mess up in the App, I decided to reinstall the App. It worked!

glad it worked!  Which app did you reinstall?  I’m guessing ProtonVPN.
