Invalid email- Firefox Relay Mask

My FF Relay mask is no longer considered a "valid email address" and I can't log into my account.
My browser is Firefox.

I used this email address to sign up and have been using if for years without any issues .

I've tried:

  • Logging in with the Relay email,
  • Resetting my password,
  • Creating a new account and trying to change the email address to the Relay one,
  • Logging in from a different browser (Edge),
  • Logging in from a private window,
  • Manually typing in my email and password,
  • Disabling the Bitwarden extension and all other extensions. All extensions are up-to-date,
  • Using the "default" (Obtain DNS server address automatically) option under Network Settings,
  • I do not use the desktop app

I've gotten the "Enter a valid email" error each time.

I've sent emails to the "invalid" email address and have received them with no issues so this is definitely a NextDNS issue.

I'm ok with creating a new account, but I'd really like to export the my block list so I can upload it to the new account.
Any insight would be appreciated!

Thanks

Was this email address entered by autofill or typed in?

Both the email and password were manually typed in.

Does the alert show up after hitting submit or just entering it? (it's not clear in your post either way)

Last thing I can think of, does the address contain non-alphanumeric characters?

The error pops up after hitting submit. The email does not contain any non-alphanumeric characters, it's just a mix of letters and numbers.

Thanks for confirming. I am perplexed as to why mozmail.com addresses are seemingly blocked.

One theory could be that they have been seen to be abusing the account creation to circumvent the free quota limit, since it's just a virtual address relayed to only one actual email address.

Edit: My first attempt to post a reply disappeared. Maybe coincidence but I did use the (at) symbol before the name of address.
