Router Setup for Network-Wide Content Filtering

Hello NextDNS Support,

I’m trying to configure my home router to block all negative or harmful content across my entire Wi-Fi network using NextDNS.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

  • I set the NextDNS DNS addresses under IPv4 settings on the router.

  • I also added MAC addresses to IPv6 settings.

  • On any device where I log in to my my.nextdns.io profile, filtering works correctly.

However, the issue is that content filtering does not work on other devices in my network, even though they are using the correct DNS addresses set by the router. It seems like the filtering only applies when I’m logged into my NextDNS profile on a device.

Could you advise how I can configure my router or NextDNS settings so that all devices on my home network automatically benefit from the filtering, without requiring each user to log in individually?

Thank you for your help!

Best regards, Serhii
