Missing DNS queries

Not all DNS queries show up in logs, eg I request a website and it'll show up sometimes but not other times. It also seems that some requests hit my ISP instead since I get redirected to safebrowse.io or there is an SSL block page. These queries are the ones that don't show up in logs.

Further, if I go unblock the website from my router (it's my domain being flagged as malicious), then everything works. I'm not sure how DNS resolution takes place, if the router gets a say before NextDNS but it doesn't seem normal to me.

I have NextDNS configured as a DNS profile on my Mac, and I also have it setup for when I'm using the Tailscale VPN.

Let me know if you need any other info. DNS leak tests and test.nextdns.io seem to come back clean.
