Business Plan Questions
I'm investigating DNS filtering plans for my company. I have a couple of questions that I don't see to be able to find answers to and I'm hoping someone could help me out.
- What constitutes an employee? If I have 275 PCs that the client is installed on, that leaves 25. If setting up a router at each or our locations does that equal one then? So, we could have 25 routers set up in addition to the 275 employees?
- Is there a limit to the number of profiles that can be set up?
- Is there an easy way to change an endpoint from one profile to another? I’ve found a way through the registry but that isn’t very efficient. Example, we block social media for everyone, but there is a small set that does need access. So, we would want to move those pcs to a separate profile to give access.

The plan is not about devices but number of users. If you have a single router with 100 users on it, this is 100 users. If you have 100 PC and 50 smartphone used by 100 users, with some users having a PC and a smartphone, this is still 100 users.
There are no limits on the number of profile although it is not recommended to have one profile per user. Profiles are more about group policies.
Each profile has its own endpoint. If some users have different policy needs, that's the typical use case for profiles.
