unable to got Android notification with NextDNS enabled

Hi,

I use NextDNS with the default list enabled "Liste de blocage des publicités et des traqueurs par NextDNS".
When this list is enabled, somes android notifications are not working  (ex for "leboncoin" and "idealo").
If I remove this list from the config, all works fine again after few minutes.

Someone got the same issue ?

How can we adapt that ?

You can adapt by going to Logs, you can select Blocked Queries Only, and look at what was blocked and add what was blocked  to the Allowlist.

Logs, Allowlist and Denylist are there for a reason. You can adapt the behavior to your taste and needs. I don't know nothing about this apps but there may be a reason for why some requests are blocked.

      losnad Thx for the reply
I know that, unfortunately i'm not able to find a relevant log for this push...

I'm pretty sure that it's related to google GCM push notorifcation, and I'm wondering to know if this GCM flow has been correctly handled by next dns default list ?

Either try other list(s) or try to unblock/block different hosts from logs.

At one point I was obsessed with one web site to still be able to stream and at same time to block all the ads and trackers. It took a lot of trial and error...

i faced similar issue on Android but mine was not from a blocklist on NextDNS

i figured out that its from using DOT/Quic  , they block return of the some DNS, after i passed to the DOH on Android i didnt faced this kind of issues

i use Nebulo app on one phone and the other have Adguard app with DOH setting, both of them Android

just wanted to let you know

also on these android apps ( Nebulo & Adguard) they keep the log of DNS on the phone and you are able to check which app sending which log , so they are useful for you on both hand
