NextDNS resolving through Cloudflare

I have been a customer for some time now and appreciate the value this service brings to my LAN. Starting a couple days ago I see IP addresses resolve that should be blocked. In looking at my.nextdns.io, I am seeing the message

This device is not using NextDNS.

This device is currently using ”Cloudflare” as DNS resolver.

I haven't changed anything locally, and can confirm the linked IP address is my LAN's public-facing IP. When I visit test.nextdns.io, the response includes

"status": "unconfigured"

Is the service still operational? What has changed that is causing the blocking to fail?

    Are you on MacOS or/and iOS? It could be the private relay feature interfering with your dns setup.

    The problem has since been resolved. The test URL now shows

    "status": "ok"

    and I get the message, "This device is using NextDNS with this profile."
