How to setup NextDNS for a certain VLAN on UniFi?
I have two VLANs configured on a UniFi UDM-SE. I want to use NextDNS only on the VLAN that my family is connected to. I've created a profile on NextDNS with parental controls and want to assign the profile's DNS servers to this VLAN.
I tried assigning the NextDNS server IPs directly to the family VLAN (screenshot attached). but it doesn't work. I get an error stating:
"This device is using NextDNS with no profile. Make sure you use the DNS-over-TLS endpoint shown below." (screenshot attached)
When I attempt to use the DNS-over-TLS/QUIC address (xxxxxx.dns.nextdns.io
) in UniFi's DNS settings, it won't accept it (screenshot attached).
I've been stuck on this for days and need help figuring out where to configure these settings so they work. Where can I add them, and how can I make this setup functional?
Is this something I have to configure through the command line in the Unifi router?
If so can someone please let me know the command, say for my vlan details are VLAN name "MK Family" Vlan is 2
DHCP Ip assignment for this vlan is from 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.2.254

This is not supported within UniFi - yet. Key word: yet.
