Potential DNS Leak on MacOS App

I use NextDNS app on MacOS. My application firewall is detecting 192.0.2.42 entries. I tracked this down to a leak coming from NextDNS app.  Services responsible include netbiosd, mDNSResponder, AssetCacheLocator.

This is disconcerting, and I would appreciate some additional details on why we are capturing traffic leaking out of the tunnel?
