Amazon and PayPal App won't work properly on Android

PayPal app and Amazon app crash with NextDNS. I think the privacy list is causing this but I am not sure.

The only privacy list I have is oisd.

If I disable NextDNS the apps work correctly again,so it has something to be with NextDNS.

In PayPal I can't get past the Fingerprint Login screen, it gets into a endless loop.

Is anyone experiencing the same problem?

Do you have "allow affiliate & tracking links" disabled and/or the "block page" enabled?

I had a problem with the Amazon android app and the Wells Fargo Android app and those things were the culprits. The affiliate/tracking option allows amazon to work without having to manually whitelist amazon ad domains and enabling the block page without installing the corresponding root CA reports a false negative "service unavailable" prompt that prevents you from logging into the Wells Fargo app to access your bank account

Haven't had problems with paypal but I only have googleads.g.doubleclick.net whitelisted since I play mobile games on Android & most of their in-game ad rewards are served through that specific google ad domain

Ruby Balloon Apologies, only had the opportunity now. I already had the *.amazon-adsystem.com in there, but just added *.amazon.com and the app is working, thank you.

Not sure how I feel about whitelisting everything under that domain, but I guess I'll need to live with it until I can figure out the correct sub domains to add!

      Thanks again

Ally Wilson glad it worked. That should make the app usable until you have time to debug/troubleshoot using your logs and possibly make the whitelisting more specific

    Hello,

I solved it by adding fls-eu.amazon.fr in the Whitelist and also redirecting fls-eu.amazon.fr to 0.0.0.0. Both actions seem mandatory. You need to adapt this according to your country. See Github : https://github.com/nextdns/metadata/issues/499#issuecomment-782925336

Olivier Poitrey  very nice project, I just started using it. So far so good 👍

    Thanks

EDIT : some random pages remain broken.

EDIT 2 : I added *.amazon.fr and *.amazon.com to the Whitelist and added more redirections to 0.0.0.0 and everything seems to work now.
