NextDNS blocks Banking App
Hi, I'm located in Pakistan and recently when switch my bank and tried together with nextdns it didn't work. Everything is working fine and app itself shows no internet connection.
I searched though logs but everything is whitelisted i.e. bank urls.. ASAP i switch to private dns to automatic or off, application works fine. I've issue on both Android and iOS app. URL whitelisted as well but still facing issue. I've checked it uses india dns server may be that's why blocked, tried to change dns location as well. Nothing found for this situation.
How i can resolve this issue?

Im having the same issue, this is the only reason i stopped using Nextdns, i was glad paying it monthly until i found this problem.

It would be helpful to send screenshots from the logs. Activate NextDNS, go to your bank/app, try to use it. Then go to the NextDNS dashboard and make screenshots of the logs. Maybe we could figure out what’s happening. Which bank and App as affected?

I started using nextdns 2 days ago, and it works really good. Just noticed today it won't work with one of my banking apps. 3 of the 4 banking apps work, 1 doesn't. The bank app in question is UBL (just like the OP I also live in Pakistan). Turned off private dns in phone settings and app started working again. Turned it on again and it won't. I've checked the logs, app is already allowed, I still went and added the mobile app domain to the allowed list, still didn't fix the issue. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?

So, I have adding comment after year and there is no luck and I automate the settings using tasker. I can't disable completely, so I switch to AdGuard DNS while using UBL app and switch back to NextDNS. This automation helps me to use app.
I still don't get it, I can use it with AdGuard DNS and unable to use it while on NextDNS. While on NextDNS, it says there is no internet connection. -
Hello guys. I have JUST started having this problem about an hour ago. My banking app 'Starling' has always worked but I try loggin in this morning and it 'can't connect'. It was fine yesterday, its always been fine, never had this issue. Yesterday my Morrisons app was playing silly buggers too but they are pants so I assumed it was just them being useless. I'm not worried about them but my banking, I need working. Turn NextDNS off, works fine so there is a work around but without it turned on, damn, even my music app explodes with bloody ads lol. Can't cope with that shit!! Can't see anything in the logs. I am UK running Android 13 / (OPPO Color OS 13). App does try to start, biometrics kick in but in the background its already given up, I can see it saying it can't connect. Now, its not urgent or anything cos I can just turn next DNS off, it just takes me a minute cos this phone is a bit shit lol. I have attached a comma seperated value download of the logs for past 6 hours, I've only been awake about 1 hour but maybe something changed whilst I was asleep, I dunno. I whitelisted the only Starling URL I could see. Slap me in the face with a wet kipper about how dozy I am for not spotting the obvious?!??? Oh, DNS rebinding is turned off. Really would prefer not to disable all the filters I have loaded, there are like, millions lol. Is there a magic fix button??

Ok mate, tried disabling that one but it didn't work. I set up a blank profile and connected to that and it worked, so it is defo an extension. Its just working out which bloody one! Probably easier to just disable it when I need the app or I will be here all year trying to work out which one lol. Thank you for your help though, even though, I have no idea how you think it might have been tha one. How the heck did you narrow it down? It didn't work but you must have had some logic! I looked at the logs and have no idea lol!
