I'm blocked connecting to NextDNS?

Seemingly random but last night my DNS just went out. It seems like NextDNS is partially blocking my IP, would that be a thing?

Visiting ping.nextdns.io I get multiple timeouts for some servers;

I cannot ping dns.nextdns.io;

 

Traceroute leads to a dead end;

If I start a VPN, all the above works fine.

It's like either NextDNS is blocking me, or somewhere down the route I'm being blocked from accessing NextDNS servers.

Anyone have any thoughts on how I could resolve this?

    Oddly, the ping.nextdns.io now resolves all DNS endpoints ~30 minutes after posting this question, without any changes on my end (same WAN IP). I can also now see DNS logs start to trickle into the Logs tab too. NextDNS Support saw my cries for help?
