custom link-ip.nextdns.io

Is it possible to manually edit the IP address linked to the account?
I would like to know if there is any way to associate an IP in a customized way assuming that the computer responsible for running the script to update the IP has crashed and I am far from home?

Maybe through HTTP headers?

 

maybe somthing like:

https://link-ip.nextdns.io/{profile}/{linkedIpUpdateToken}/{CustomIP}

 

or with the API?

    NextDNS will not allow this simply because it’s a security risk. Updating IP has to be done from the same IP to be linked.

      I'm not sure how this is a security risk, since each user is assigned a special IP address(es) of a DNS server and as long as you didn't have physical access to put the IP addresses of the DNS servers on the device (router/other) it doesn't matter what IP address you put in linked ip
