PS5 doesn't connect with NextDNS on OpenWRT router

Hi,

I've got NextDNS set up using the cli on my OpenWRT router and everything works beautifully except my PS5 receives the "A DNS server can't be used" error both wired and wireless when NextDNS is enabled.  I can manually set another DNS or even NextDNS directly in the PS5's settings and it will work fine.

This occurs even if I turn off all blocklists and protections and I don't see anything in the logs, so I don't think it's just blocking something it shouldn't.  What's the problem?
