DNSCrypt

Hello NextDNS team,

I am a NextDNS user and I would like to request official support for the DNSCrypt protocol as an upstream option in NextDNS.

Context and observation:

I currently run dnscrypt-proxy locally and have configured NextDNS via the provided sdns stamp. The proxy connects to NextDNS using DoH, and dnscrypt-proxy logs show messages like: "DNS anonymization is only supported with the DNSCrypt protocol" because NextDNS is reached via DoH rather than DNSCrypt.
I understand NextDNS currently exposes DoH stamps; however, DNSCrypt support would allow native DNSCrypt clients and anonymization relays to interoperate directly with NextDNS.

Why this would help:

Native DNSCrypt support would enable users who prefer the DNSCrypt protocol (for example to use DNSCrypt relays for anonymization) to use NextDNS without protocol translation or extra infrastructure.
It would broaden compatibility with existing DNSCrypt tooling (dnscrypt-proxy, relays) and could improve privacy options for advanced users.

Request:

Could you please confirm whether NextDNS has any plans to support DNSCrypt natively, or whether there are technical or policy reasons this is not feasible?
If there is no plan, would the team consider adding DNSCrypt support or providing guidance on recommended alternatives (official relays, recommended stamps, or supported anonymization workflows)?
