DNS broke on Peplink router
First off, NextDNS works on Peplink routers and there should be some documentation on the setup.
But, I had a problem.
Peplink requires a DoH server name and two IPv4 addresses. Not sure why they need the IPs. I gave them the two IPs in the Linked IP section for the profile used on the router. For the first few weeks all was well.
Then, many DNS queries timed out and I can tell from the NextDNS logs, they never got to NextDNS. I checked the Setup page for this profile and it now has two different IP v4 addresses for the profile.
I have to assume this was the problem. I will ask Peplink what they use these IPs for, since they have the server name, but my question here is why did the IPs change?

I’ve no idea why the IPs would change, it’s not something that happens very often and I haven’t seen anyone report it here in recent years (when I joined).
You could use the Anycast IPs for the router, they are 45.90.28.0 and 45.90.30.0 (at least these are not likely to change).
