Using CLI as local cache with apps/profiles?

I have the CLI running on a local device on my network. If am using the phone app or the profile for my Mac. Will the phone or mac reach out directly to NextDNS or will it utilize my device running the CLI?

    It will be direct, not via NextDNS CLI.

    Yeah that’s what I’ve observed. That’s kind of a bummer.  It’d be great if it could transparently use the CLI if I have one running in my network.

      cullen Set up the DHCP to give out the IP of the CLI device for DNS. Just make sure the CLI is listening on that address and any firewall isn't blocking the port.
