Can't use NextDNS with Google One VPN

This has been getting progressively worse, but now it's almost happening all the time. When using Google One's VPN I'm unable to connect to dns.nextdns.io (the private DNS I have configured on Android). Once disconnected from the VPN I can resolve/use NextDNS. I've raised the issue with Google One support and will see where it gets me and will update this post.

    I'd enabled bypass 馃. As the coverage of Google One VPN exit nodes improved things got worse 馃ぃ.

    I use Google One's vpn on my phone and it works with NextDNS just fine. However, it's on windows that it gets tricky. The VPN seems to bypass my DNS configs and just uses Google DNS even while the app shows as active. I have to manually go into settings and set up DNS after the VPN connects everytime I boot my computer.

    Did you get the VPN + DNS working on your phone?

      I tried for 3 months to get that stupid Google One VPN to work For one thing it doesn't let you adjust or set up anything you have to take their word for it if it even works at all.
