Setting up for Firestick

I've tried to set up NextDNS for my Firesticks and its not being found as a device on the Setup page or in analytics. This is what I did:

1. Connected to my Wifi via Firestick > Settings > Network

2. On the Advanced option after entering the Wifi SSID and password. I entered my IP, gateway and the NextDNS DNS server IPs.

On the MyNextDNS setup tab, it says the following:

This device is using NextDNS with another configuration.

But that isn't possible as I haven't entered the connection  details for my other configuration and the only devices using those details are my MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad Pro.

Am I doing something wrong and if so, can someone tell me what, please.

Do you have multiple configs? If so, you have to make sure you have the correct config selected so it gives you the corresponding dns server IPs (each config will have unique dns endpoints/IPs)

It sounds like you possibly gave it dns servers of a different config but didn't access the setup tab for that specific config when testing said config

    Hi @nisten,

That's what's odd and I checked that several times before posting. The DNS server IPs are the from the correct config and not from my other. Which is why I'm confused and also, if it was using the other configs IPs they it would show up as a device in the device list, but it doesn't. All that shows on that configs device listis my MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad Pro.

I'm having the same issue. I have a single configuration and I never created another one, so there's no way I'm mistaking one IP or setup for the other. Also the status tab keeps alternating between the green dot "All good!" and the orange one saying "This device is using NextDNS with another configuration.".

I guess it's not using your configuration at all? You can probably just link your IP using the UI at https://my.nextdns.io/.../setup
There are also other options as well. The system need to understand that the requests are coming from you, an IPV4 won't cut it.
