Host Override for Local Web Server

I'm having an issue where I am not able to get to my local webserver, from an internal IP - using my subdomain (e.g.: sub.domain.com)  I CAN get to that webserver using the server's IP (internally).

There is a way to account for this in my router (OPNSense) - but I'm struggling a bit to get that to work.

SO I'm wondering - if I could manually enter a 'route' in NextDNS so that my subdomain would point to my internal IP.  No idea if that would even help - but if it did - it has some real benefits as these things could be managed in one place (NextDNS)...

      Yes, that should work.

I use this to map a subdomain to Homebridge running on a Pi in my (local) network.

Luigi calamar it’s under the settings tab in my.nextdns.io. It’s at the bottom.

WOW - that works - SO much better than trying to do this in OPNsense - DNSMASQ or Unbound (which I can't use)

      THANKS
