NextDNS stopped working

Running macOS 12.4 and recently noticed ads reappearing on visited websites. I checked the logs, which reported it had stopped working after May 21st. The profile had expired a while back, so I re-installed the configuration profile and it still doesn't work. Private Relay is turned off.

    Installing the NextDNS  application fixed the problem. Still would like to know why using the advanced installation doesn't work.
