Virgin media Hub 5

Does anyone know a step by step guy to set up on a Virgin Media Hub5? I’ve tried the setup as explained but none of the options seem to work.

I’m a bit of a novice.

    Most of the virgin media hubs are pretty much locked down when it comes to the DNS settings. It makes things impossible to setup NextDNS on the router. 
    You will have to set up NextDNS on all your devices. 

    The only other option would be to use another router that’s configurable, with the hub in modem mode (not checked if hub5 can do this or not).

    Trouble is I’ve two Amazon fire devices for the kids and I can’t seem to see how to set these up on NextDNS. Any advice?

      Ben smith The NextDNS app will work ok on fireos. Getting the apk on to the devices can be a bit awkward though. 

      Using Amazon silk doesn’t always work to download the apk. You have to use a different browser app, something like Downloader app by ATV (I think those details are correct but might not be 100% accurate). Also there is no way to get the apk directly from NextDNS, you’ll have to use a 3rd party website (apkpure is an option) at your own risk.

      Another option might be available, if it’s visible on the devices, by using the android private DNS option. 

      Third party apps are also an option but not always available from the Amazon App Store. But available from developers website’s directly.
