Device proprietary software phoning home

Does ALL device proprietary software that communicates with the manufacturer go via  DNS-over-TLS or does this logging/blocking fall outside of the scope of the next dns service?

    🤷‍♂️they can use DoT/DoH if they want to. This question isn't really answerable because there is proprietary software that just uses the OS DNS resolution, and there are some that try to sneak through their own DoH endpoint (or just hardcode the IP).
