[Request] Allow excluding cellular networks with Apple profiles

Hi,

I believe this was discussed before, but I cannot find the thread in question.

Any chance for an option to disable NextDNS when using cellular networks, just like we can exclude some Wi-Fi networks ? My work iPad is set up so that only some domains can be accessed for a few work apps, certainly with some form of DNS magic. And having NextDNS enabled blocks all traffic when using cellular data.

Otherwise, how can I pinpoint domains which have to be allowed to bypass NextDNS  in order for everything to work ?

Thanks

If you're still looking into this, someone's made a profile tool that lets you do this:

Our carrier blocks DoH and we set up profiles for the fam that only work over wifi

      Sketchy behaviour, blocking DoH is.

Disabling the 'Use Ultra-Low Latency Network' option in the iOS app solved this.

Without that, our carrier would eventually stop working when on cellular and the only way to get it to work was changing iOS dns settings to automatic and then back to NextDNS. After a while, it'd stop working again.

the configuration profile is much more powerful in some ways in my experience.

This feels pointless tbh. But given your circumstances it might be nice to have as a manual toggle.

Have you tried using the bootstrap IPs setting?
