trouble setting up next dns on my orbi 960

I have been trying to setup next dns on my router (orbi 960) and must be doing something wrong or missed a setup.  Have changed the DNS servers to:

45.90.28.70 and 45.90.30.70 and I keep getting a message that this device is not using NextDNS after rebooting when changing the configuration.

I must be missing something in the setup.  I do get a green checkmark on the linkedIp on the nextdns site if that matters
