IP not associated

I have put on the android mobile phone on the private DNS 747cbd.dns.nextdns.io but both from the app that I downloaded from the PlayStore and going to the DNS site on associated ip I notice that IP is not associated, I notice that if I click to associate it for a while it remains then it changes. Is it normal for it not to remain associated?

    Just use androids built-in Secure DNS which is DOT.

    I don't think the nextdns team has updated their android app in a long time. The playstore wont even let me see it on android-14.

    I'm not sure how their app work but most likely it is by setting up a VPN tunnel. Private DNS does not work when a VPN tunnel is in use. Again, just uninstall the app and use your DOT nextdns url  via Secure DNS.
