query type: PTR

Reviewing the logs I find a large amount of logs of the type:

248.53.168.192.in-addr.arpa

that runs through the entire network, is this normal? Shouldn't the local DNS respond? Why do these queries go up to the cloud?

To get help with this you need to outline your current setup for using NextDNS.
At the moment it’s like guessing the length of a piece of string. i.e. many different possibilities.

Thanks for answering, NextDNS is configured on the router (Mikrotik), DHCP gives the devices 2 DNS, the main one on a raspberry with PI Hole, secondly the router.

       Ok, a bit more clearer.

My guess would be it’s a configuration problem. Is the Pie hole setup to respond to ptr queries (local ones in particular)?
