iPhone DNS Settings: phone keeps turning off "NextDNS" and reverting back to "Automatic DNS"

Ok, I'm not sure if my daughter is changing this setting or if the school wifi or something is causing this setting to change. It changes daily. Then it comes back on at weird times. So there are major gaps where I cannot see the traffic from her phone. It's an iPhone XR if that even matters. 

Could there be something causing her phone to revert the DNS settings to "Automatic DNS" ? Thanks to anyone that can give me a heads up!

    instead of manually updating DNS on the phone, why not just create a profile https://apple.nextdns.io/ and install it on the phone.
