Recommended router for NextDNS?
Iam looking forward to buy a new router and i want to use NextDNS with it. I want to set up a DNS in the router but i've read that you can also install custom software on a router.
So does anyone know a recommended router brand?

i have used Asus, Rmerlin on Asus Pfsense and am currently on Sophos. nextdns can support pretty much any router using straightforward dns.

"Another advantage is the ability to send some additional information with the query, either via the hostname with DoT (using SNI) or via the URL path with DoH. NextDNS takes advantage of that ability to pass the configuration ID information, so IP linking is not necessary, would your network be IPv6 compatible or not."

Asus Router with Merlin Firmware. From there you can install the nextdns cli.

This router doesn't need to be hacked with a third party firmware. It accepts natively NextDNS and AdGuard. His security section is pretty extensive.
