DNS blocking seems to not be working

We use Brave and I have an Allow List which previously meant we had to approver each domain name. Now everything seems allowed. Nothing has changed in our configuration of NextDNS.

I've tried flushing DNS cache from command line (MacOS 13.5) and flushed the DNS cache in Brave as well. It doesn't change anything. Everything seems allowed now

    Something I'll add is that I'm not noticing any of the traffic from Brave showing up in the NextDNS log. I have Brave configured to use NextDNS in the 'Use secure DNS' setting

       but this isn't on Android, it's on MacOS and I've already noted I Brave's DNS setup for NextDNS
