Encrypted DNS on Unifi?

On Unifi, I can add secure dns, however when I put in the URL, I get an error that I need a url that starts with sddns://, is this something that will be supported in the future, or is this something specific to Unifi?

https://github.com/nextdns/nextdns/wiki/UnifiOS works like a charm on my cloud gateway max

That would be a DNSCrypt stamp. See setup page for Linux and the section dnscrypt-proxy.

I see the stamp, but what would I need to do for the other fields? Would it simply work to just put that stamp in Unifi?

It will work strait away without any edits but all requests will be "unidentified" because there is no device name in the default string. To add the device name simply edit the field named "path" on the stamp calculator and put a "/" after the profile ID, then the device name. The updated stamp will show immediately, just copy and paste into the router.
