iOS devices get stuck when switching from cellular to Wi-Fi

hello. I'm using an iPhone and when I connect to wifi while on cellular, all network connections are interrupted for a while and then resume again.

During this time, browsing, messenger, or any communication seems to stop (the time is about 15 seconds or so).

I am using the NextDNS app instead of profiles.

Is there any way to fix this as I sometimes need to unblock DNS so I can easily turn it on and off?

I have exactly the same problem on iPhone 15 Pro. When coming back from T-Mobile to WiFi I have no internet for 20 seconds, you are not alone.

Possible solution suggested by joeromano0829:

Don't use the iOS Profile... use a third-party app called "DNS Override" and use DNS over HTTPS... works well.

After some further testing... I have the same problem when using the "DNS Override" app and DNS over HTTPS option, however DNS over TLS works as expected!
