Can't access local network shares (Windows Server 2016 Essentials)

I tried adding the Active Directory domain to the Allowlist but it didn't help.

    Do you have DNS Rebinding protection enabled?

    If your workstation has nextdns on it, it wont resolve local names since your pointing outside your network.  You need to point to an internal dns resolver, like your server, and have that pointed to nextdns. This will allow you to resolve internal and external sources.

      dare Appreciate the input but Greg Burns' suggestion fixed the issue. Setup is several PC's/laptops and the Windows Server (for Emby media server and nightly backups) on home LAN all connected to Asus router. Media server and backups were working but network directories were not. All good now. Cheers!

    @Jay,

    Could you tell me how you configured NextDNS to integrate with AD? I'm trying to configure NextDNS to be a DNS Server forwarder, but to no avail.

    Did you also manage to configure Auto discovery and forwarding of LAN client's name and model?

    Thank you
