NextDNS Leak/Mullvad

Hello,

I use atm Mullvad and saw that NextDNS is good for Privacy/ADS etc and has better Filters than Mullvad's DNS-Server. So i'm trying to Use Mullvad with NextDNS.

So Far so good, i enabled in Mullvad's PC App [Windows 11] Custom DNS and put there the two IP's from NextDNS in it. On my Dashboard, it says:

All good!

This device is using NextDNS with this configuration.

But, after a few DNS-Leak Test i saw this:

I guess the Netherlands IP is from NextDNS, however i dont know what the First IP is. I guess its my ISP-DNS, idk if thats true.

So my Question is, how can i prevent that ? So i only use NextDNS instead of my ISP etc ? Is that maybe a Bug, or does these IP's belong to NextDNS ?

PS: Already tried NextDNS Windows app, same result

    Hi

I'm pretty new to this  myself, I also have Mullvad, If you haven't already you could try setting the DNS Rebinding Protection to on

Worth a try if it isn't already on

To confirm whether this is your NextDNS IP address, first check the information in your NextDNS profile. If the given DNS is listed there, then it is.

Otherwise, I would recommend using the IPv6 name servers given in your NextDNS profile in Mullvad VPN to use your profile configurations. Otherwise, Mullvad VPN will not be able to connect to your NextDNS with IPv4.

Here is a useful tutorial explaining how to connect Mullvad to your NextDNS profile:

The only downside is that these IPv6 addresses are unique to your profile and no one on internet share the same IPs. However, this is currently the only way to use Mullvad in combination with NextDNS.
