No, you can contact them and ask.

The website is also broken https://energized.pro/

Given their inactivity on Github as well, the Energized project is most probably dead.

They are planning on coming back later but like I don't know tbh they talked about doing weekly or bi-weekly updates. I personally wouldn't use it since it might miss an ad that was added to other filters in the 6 days it isn't updated but your choice. I would say just use 1HostPro it can be a tiny bit agressive at times but I tested it for a while and it's the fastest at adding new ad-servers. I would also hope you enabled Newly Registered Domains blocking from either security or privacy tab that blocks domains registered in the last 30 days. Yeah that's what I would say but do what suites your need.

DynamicNotSlow I use it as well, it's a good list, it's the best for not having any false positives. I tried using it alone and saw a few ads so these days I have 3 blocklists. Adguard DNS, OISD, 1HostPro they usually do the trick and one of them surely catches that new domain that is now serving some annoying popup ad on this random website found in a dark alleyway.

It looks like they got their web server up again, although it's just serving the default nginx page. I've moved on from them at this point.

I am using 1Hosts Lite or Pro + OISD and that works fantastic + some other minor twicks.

SLCW I said it above but just to mention it again, I used it before so I was like let me check their telegram group and see what's up. They said they were coming back in a few days with a new server etc. But one thing to keep in mind is that they were talking about going Weekly or Bi-weekly at best for stability reasons. It's upto the user but I don't know tbh. If it updated weekly I wouldn't personally rely on it for everything working fine.

Hey weekly updates are way to slow for DNS lists. Wouldn’t recommend using it then

DynamicNotSlow if once a week is slow, look at how GoodbyeAds are being updated. It’s being updated either twice a month or once a month. So it they blocked music.youtube.com for who knows why, it will be blocked for almost a month. I think it is still blocked. Although someone raised it last June.

Hey It does look like they updated the list when relaunching. The ultimate list contained a little over a million hosts when they went dark, and now it's got a little over 700k entries, so they did a significant cleanup. I guess we'll see how it goes.

SLCW Yeah while I was in the server I asked for that too lol, they said they removed a bunch of Discontinued Lists so that is why it's not as big as it was before.

Since this topic is getting a bit of views I decided to ask the dev himself and here is the answer.

"as we have limited server bandwidth for our main pop, we will be pushing update once a day till we get a no limit solution."

So good news for people that use Energized for now it will be daily and they are planning to improve it later on. Not bad especially since Energized uses multiple hosts, this basically means they have their own hosts list and they use other lists such as OSID, 1HostPro, Adguard some malware and other lists and they just combine and filter them for false positives. The idea isn't too bad so you get one list with a lot of lists combined. Thankfully that idea of doing Weekly/Bi-Weekly was abandoned that would seriously kill any useses for it.

I use OiSD, notracking and all AdGuard filters since all of them are well maintained. I think all of them gets updated atleast once a day (adguard filters are are almost updated every 6 to 8 hours) I do have some whitelisted sites though. Especially my banking apps sometimes not working (but OiSD is actively fixing those)
