Custom Domain

Good afternoon. Tell me, is it possible to use your own domain as DNS?

For example, there is a domain customdomain.com

Is it possible to make it so that it is necessary to specify, for example, a customdomain domain as a DNS server?

I just tried to specify the DNS server from NextDNS in Cname, but when I click on my link I get the following response:

Great, [MYDOMAIN] is not blocked anymore 😊
Clear your local DNS cache to access this website now, or wait a few minutes.

Can you clarify what you're trying to do? You can setup a VPS or a serverless instance that forward DoT and DoH request to your NextDNS address, that way you can then input your custom domain in Private DNS or Secure DNS settings. I'm not sure about the "domain is not blocked anymore".

      Good evening.

Look, in my profile I have - ID.dns.nextdns.io

I need to be able to specify my own domain instead of this DNS server. I tried to add an entry to my Cname domain, but it gives me an error when navigating to MY domain. How can I set up my domain?

CNAME entry only works when the server is also configured to allow that SNI. You would either ask NextDNS to add this functionality (honestly I doubt they would even have the time to add this considering their backlog), or like I said, setup a VPS or serverless instance to forward it.

what You are trying to do it just because You are not aware of the things .

if you really want to setup such service like NextDNS than

    1. get your own domain name

    2. get a cloud server hosting along with ssh access

    3. dowbload Technitium DNS app into server and install that

    4. now Confugure nameservers , SSL etc to point domain name to your cloud hosting

now go ahead and play around. use nextDNS public resolver as relay in that TECHNITIUM DNS app .

Now You have your own DNS service
