Configuration is not updating when using the dns addresses on the router level

 having issues with my custom configuration not updating when using this service on my udm pro, for example i enabled  parental control apps such as tiktok and facebook to be blocked, it worked fine but when i had a relative visit i disabled those apps for temporary use for them and it's not reverting and is constantly blocking them, the only way to change this is to revert back using public dns addresses. The strange thing is when using the nextdns app on a mobile device not on my network the configuration is updating correctly. any advice to resolve this  would be appreciated.
