I'm in Spain but seem to be connecting to Sofia?

Hi,

I'm based in Spain, so I would assume I should be using the servers in Madrid. However, if I understand correctly, I'm connecting to Sofia?

      I do, but again, in Spain. My POP is Madrid. That's why I feel it's weird I'm connecting to Sofia.

      You are using Starlink, which operates as a satellite-based internet service. Unlike traditional ISPs that assign IPs based on local infrastructure, Starlink routes traffic through its own network and data centers before reaching the internet. This can cause users to appear in different locations than their actual physical location.

      that's definitely not the case. Starlink's point of connection to the wider Internet for Spanish users is in Madrid. I could even tell you the building.

      Every other service routes me to servers in Madrid, if they have them (e.g. Cloudflare or Cloudfront) or in nearby countries. It makes no sense whatsoever that NextDNS is routing my request to a server located on the totally opposite site of Europe.

      Also, the ping shows the servers in Madrid on top of the list.  Followed by Lisbon and Paris. Logical, as I'm  located in Spain.
