NextDNS with MDM (Manage Engine)

I am trying to deploy an Apple Configuration Profile using MDM (Manage Engine, specifically) and the DNS settings are not being applied to Wifi or Data connections.

When viewing Settings > General > VPN & Device Management, the correct settings are displayed for:

• Restrictions and Proxies > DNS
• Mobile Device Management > MDM Profile

Despite this, and the correct NextDNS profile being displayed in the Restrictions and Proxies > DNS, no logs are being recorded for any device. Nor does test.nextdns.io indicate the device is configured.

Do these profiles only work with supervised devices?
