is sudo required for CLI on MacOS?

My recollection is sudo was NOT required for Nextdns CLI on MacOS when it was first introduced.

Without sudo i receive:

Error: ** Error: Command requires admin privileges.

Everything works fine with sudo

The https://github.com/nextdns/nextdns/wiki#basic-usage doesn't mention the need for sudo

Maybe the change is a result of increased security within MacOS after Catalina or Big Sur or maybe something is wrong with my installation.

I should clarify not every nextdns command requires sudo.   stop/start/restart definitely do require sudo and probably should.  I'm nearly certain they did not back when nextdns was new and I was running Mojave which was current at the time.
