Conditional Forwarder to keep agent from breaking local domain queries.
There appears no way, but asking anyway.... Is there a way to add a conditional forwarder so that the agent will send queries for "domain.local" to a certain IP so that local queries will work in conjunction with the agent. That way you get good logging per agent vs just using a forwarder on the dns server itself. It seems now if you install the agent that it breaks all local domain traffic, unless you put in a rewrite for every local dns entry which is not workable.
Help?

I think you will need the nextdns-cli to achieve conditional forwarding: https://github.com/nextdns/nextdns/wiki
Positive aspect: You do not need to install any agent on your machines, just point your clients to the local ip of the nextdns-cli host. As long as this host can identify the hostnames, you will still get per-device reporting. And performance-wise you get local-caching plus your domain.local requests will never leave your premise.
